First of all not sure if this is the right place to post this Question...

On the Boot up screen i get a Quota Usage Warning then it boots fine and gives me no other warnings what so ever... Does any body know what the Quota Usage Warning is?

Thanks for the Help I am PUZZLED... Other than that its a Great Phone and I use it as a AT&T Go Phone... I get the Internet by media net and get sms fine works great... I just have that boot up question.

Here are a few questions:

1) what version of the P168 do you have? (p168,p168+p168c)
2) Is your Gophone from a Cingular SImcard or a new AT&T branded Gophone.

I noticed that people who still have a Cingular Go phone SIM card in their P168. it gives out crazy messages when first inserted,

try taking your SIMcard out. make sure your cell is turned off. take the battery out. place the sim back in, then the battery, then restart the phone.

If you can provide me with answers to my 2 questions that would be great,. until then I will investigate that warning message. Cool

This is a CECT P168+ Quad Ban Phone... Has the FM stero etc Sliding Lock.... The Sim Card came from my AT&T RAZOR V3 gophone...

I get no funny messages other than on boot up... That message is the Quota message then it boots fine... I have no walking cat across the screen like I have seen just a smily face... no dropped calls and its on the 850 1900 ban...

I can up load files etc Via Blue Tooth... I have a Mac That works great.

So how can you tell if u have the C or What???

I have tried turning it off taking the sim card out... and Battery waiting a full 10 to 20 min then put it back together same message so i did it again... but put the Sim card in the other slot.... Same Thing... Thanks for Trying to Help.. No one could help on the other forum

you can tell if you have the P168C if you look on your battery and it says

June 2008. that is the latest build and firmware.

your Main menu should look like this

Read this link
P168 Information

Since there are 4 versions of this phone, it is very tricky to actually know what version of firmware is on your cell.

you will have to go into engineering mode and see what version you have.

I believe you can only update firmware related on what type of MTK Processor it has. until someone has a definate answer.

Then maybe its best to leave things alone for now..I mean it does not effect the performance of the phone in any way I am Just wondering what it means so say the

Quota Usage Warning then it counts down from 10 to 1 then Logs on perfectly..

How do I enter eng mode to get the firm ware reading??

I was doing some thinking and I have a question.

Are you using your P168 for internet/MediaNET for At&T? 7 email?

It may be possible that quota is becoming full meaning the email is full?

Try doing this. If you are using it for internet access. clean your cache/cookies and see what happens.. and clear out you text messages or MMS.

let me know Basketball

NEW ADDED

I did some heavy searching. I believe your SIM CARD is FUll or your SD card is full and the P168 is letting you know its full and can no loner accept more Data. try freeing up some file or pictures on the SD card and see what happens... now I am curious Very Happy
